Ciro looked excited, smiling brightly. "I'd love to ride on your motorcycle. But, um, don't tell my dad. Pretty sure he wouldn't approve."
"Oh, querido, no. Not a barn cat," Luis said with a grin. "A liger. Nala is big enough that Ciro can ride her around the property sometimes. She pretty much just ignores me, but she adores tio and Ciro. She's terrifying."

"A liger? How did he get his hands on that?" Aerowyn asked, surprised, as he put a saddle onto Loki. "I though you couldn't own those here."

"They're so cute!" Ciro said, taking one and eating it, eyes widening in surprise that they tasted so good. "Kage, these are delicious!"
"You can't. But her previous owner was very abusive, and Ciro wouldn't stand for that," Luis explained. "My cousin is terrifying when it comes to animals, and so he retrained her, and now she's a sweetheart. Mostly."

Kage beamed at that. "They're something I'm pretty good at. One of the few foods I am good at. I'm not allowed near the stove." He chuckled, grabbing one of the sandwiches and eating it happily.
"That's impressive!" Aerowyn said, surprised. "I would be worried she would try to eat someone." He said, making sure the saddles were finished before jumping down and fetching the picnic basket. "Ready? I can help you get up on Freya." He said with a smile.

"Nah, I got this," Luis said, grabbing a hold of the saddle and climbing up on the horse. Once he was situated, he clung to the saddle and grinned nervously down at Aerowyn. "Alright, I'm up here. Now what do I do."

"That sounds great! I'd love that." Kage said happily. "I'm down for going to your place any time, I just do work from home now."
Aerowyn couldn't help but laugh a bit, grabbing Freya's reins and handing them to Luis. "Just hold on to these, I'm just going to have her follow me so you don't have to worry about trying to direct her." He said, sounding amused before climbing up on Loki with ease, even with a picnic basket on one arm.

Luis eyed both horses, starting to relax a little bit once he got the hang of it. "Alright, I admit it. this isn't so bad," he said lightly, giving Freya's neck a gentle pat.

"I have a little bit of a following, it hasn't reached anything like a huge following, but enough that back home I'd go to book signings and have a line of people wanting me to sign their books." Kage said with a shrug. "Valdemar has a few copies of my books in their library here, so you could probably snag one if you wanted." He said with a smile.
"Think you could handle a trot?" Aerowyn asked as he looked back at Luis. "I promise you won't fall off."
